Eva Brzáková 2007 Spring/Summer collection
The new "Viaggio in Italia" collection is inspired by mid-1950s fashion and the joie de vivre associated with it. The woman who symbolizes this era, is independent, self-assured, emphatically feminine, full of the joy of life and nevertheless is characterized by a gentleness and tenderness. Styles radiate an elegance which is free of associations with noblesse and luxury. On the contrary, they are synonymous with a discerning, high-class and at the same time pure style, which is compatible with everyday wear and suited to every occasion. In addition to the glamorous fashion style of the 1950s, a trip to the sunny south is the most important source of inspiration for this collection. Light and airy fabrics, craftsman's cuts and styles along with a high degree of wearer comfort are their characteristics. The atmospheric model for the creations is Roberto Rossellini's "Trip to Italy" film classic with Ingrid Bergmann.

Vanhatapio

Tiia Vanhatapio, Helsinki/ Finland
Only one year after graduating from the University for Art and Design in Helsinki, the Finish designer Tiia Vanhatapio has found a sponsor for her "Signature" collection and received an award with scholarship from Finnish fashion legend Marimekko. The silhouettes featured in her creations have been influenced by macabre, unusual, sub-cultural and historic aspects as well as the dark, erotic female figures created by Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin. The emphasis is on highquality, raw materials; the finest, soft, luxurious reindeer leather and skins lend her creations an exotic Nordic touch with perfect fit and impeccable finish - Made in Scandinavia.

Tiia Vanhatapio 2007 Spring/Summer collection
Tiia Vanhatapio is presenting two independent collections. The "Dark Couture" collection combines her great passion for vintage with modern femininity. The female figures, which have inspired her here, are timeless and sensual. They face the world with self-confidence and a certain dramatic stance - an allusion to the Femme Fatale which is part of every woman. The colour scheme is mainly black-based with several exceptions: wool-white or smoky yellow. The fabrics she uses are classic : cotton, linen, silk and wool. Her "Quelle jolie bebe!" collection appeals to parents who see design as part of a newly-born baby's life. She combines comic graphics with aesthetic luxury and functional standards for the demanding, discerning Fashionistas of tomorrow.
