Formula for 2009: professionalism & a positive mood! The 46th edition of the Salon International de La Lingerie took place in a mood of serenity, characterised by glamour, aestheticism and the exceptional creativity of collections. This exceptional creativity did not go unnoticed by buyers, especially given the current context. Despite the troubled economic climate, the first two days of the Salon International de la Lingerie were excellent for business, banishing exhibitors' pre-show doubts. A slightly lower turnout (-22%) can be explained by brands reducing the number of buyers sent and international players cutting travel budgets, however it did not affect the calibre of visitors who flew in from 102 countries. Once again, brands were won over by the quality of visitors - with all the major labels and the world's most dynamic stores present - confirming that this platform remains the worldwide and number one event for the textile industry.

Ultra Lingerie Edition 2009 Lingerie rediscovered its creative flair at 8.15pm on Monday 19th January 2009 when 35 prototypes took to the podium at the Salon International de la Lingerie offering an array of delicious decadence on the universal theme of Gourmet indulgence. Whipped cream in all its purity, the smoothness of chocolate, a procession of toffee-apples and other tasty treats… designs born of partnerships between Interfillière's fabric specialists and lingerie brands created a feast for the eyes for some 850 guests. Even the most hard-to-please gourmets admitted that this was one of the finest editions of Ultra-Lingerie since its creation. For the duration of a catwalk show, the most determined competitors left rivalries behind and unanimously praised their colleagues' ingenuity and know-how.
