Fabien Rozan

"In the beginning there was the circle!" This is how Fabien Rozan claims his fondness for this figure so close to feminine nature. Indeed this geometrical compass evokes to this lover of lines, the magic curves of women, those that fight for the sun and the moon or, to be brief, the roundness that gives us life and then light up our days and our nights.

The circle is thus essential to Fabien and filled with this conviction, he has a special glance for the circle from which he worked tirelessly for his January fashion show, sprinling his skin-print designs with circles that he cleverly emptied. Today, the story is different because the feminine shape will be entirely included within the circle, letting the extreme symbiosis that links these two entities show.

But after the circle comes the square, small variance from Euclid's figures that will occupy the space in a different fashion, with maybe more force and less compromise...as per the revolution that took place during the 70's, the revolution for women of course but also that of designers who influenced Fabien such as Mr. Cardin, dear to his childhood memories when at only 5 years of age, he stared at the windows of the famous designer's boutique in his hometown of Vichy.

But Fabien must admit to a second obsession, that of the materials he works with and that he loves to use in ways for which they never were meant to be used. This curious designer is ready to try anything and looks endlessly for new materials, hunting down the manufacturers who innovate and he is never scared by the obstacles that certain materials present. That is how he will offer for this season the woman inside a mirror in order to better show this star that so inspires him...but he will also not hesitate to turn her into a murmaid dressed in materials that are meant for exploring the sea.

The use of three dimensional fabric, the lighthouse of this new Fabien Rozan collection, allows a work that is architectural, sustained solely by a style of sewing perfectly mastered. The lines so structured allow the designer to offer an uncluttered style and audacious designs that are the sole result of his creativity

Besides this technical aspect, the 3D offers a real visual diversity in the motifs and the overall look. The reliefs are inventive and suggest very different universes with eraser type materials filled with circles, like a ping pong bat with deep black jersey, smooth like a moonless night or white with immaculate streaks and everything will tell a story. These magical fabrics will be sometimes coupled with heavy vinyls with mirror or neoprene.

The double wool wiring with a satin face, a constant at the Fabien Rozan fashion house, will be quiet and discreet in a suit perfectly cut while the leather, matressed and oversewn with flakes will bring the Amazones in a seductive and ostentatious parade, finally a "snow fur" knit will become a riding hood costume ...cozy and sensual!

Thus, a new adventure awaits us with moon coats, vinyl record album suits, ocean dresses, and others with starry bustiers, silver suns, night bird feathers, black Soulages volcanos and female wolves asleep under the snow.
