To celebrate the 30th edition and despite a difficult economic context, Mode City, le salon international de la lingerie et du swim-wear, has proven that coming together and sharing are the values that produce success and energy.
Mode City continues to confirm its role as world leader in the swim-wear and summer lingerie markets : 15 33O visitors came and discovered the trade show's top quality, creative offer. We notice a positive, stable figure compared to the July 2012 edition:

For several seasons Eurovet's teams have conducted onsite campaigns with French buyers; and their efforts paid off. Despite the economic crisis, the 2013 session showed a 7% rise in French retailers, with an important return of seaside boutiques from the PACA, Cor-sican, Brittany and Languedoc Roussillon regions. This is an outstanding accomplishment, considering the uncertain weather and beginning of the summer holidays.

Despite the drop in attendance of Italian and Spanish buyers, Mode City remains the world's top platform for the lingerie and swimwear market.

ABSOLUTE SUCCESS !
With the birthday soiree, retailers' lunches, the "30 Iconic Swim-suits" exhibition and other great events, the trade show program was full of fun, excitement and magical memories.
Mode City brought the entire industry together - upstream to downstream; yarns to retailers; and, with the debut of the Absolute Summer by Mode City general public event, all the way to the end-user consumer.
Both a strong media tool and lively, fun break from the trade show, Absolute Summer's ateliers and fashion shows attracted a multitude of fashionistas in a 100% summer fash/on ambiance. Humour, freshness and energy were all made this first session a success !
The professional community united to present an updated, more modern and polished image of the lingerie and swimwear universes. And the event was helpful in reminding consumers to buy their pretty swimsuits or lingerie sets before leaving for summer holidays!

Nichole de Carle Marine

Nichole de Carle Marine is an innovative luxury swim, beach and resort wear brand redefining the traditional concepts of swimwear. Quintessentially British, the designer Nichole de Carle uses her rich cultural heritage as an artisan of Huguenot descent to define the brand’s commitment to, and love of beautifully crafted swimwear. With inspiration sourced from the world of art, literature and iconic architecture, Nichole de Carle Marine embodies design and fine craftsmanship. By using only the finest fabrics available and with an exquisite attention to detail, each piece evokes the brands passion for the craft by delivering pieces that exude feminine strength, beauty, seduction, and sophistication.

Nichole de Carle launched her career within the luxury lingerie market after graduating with a First Class Honours from the world renowned Contour Design course at De Montfort University in England where she specialised in body contour and fit within swimwear, lingerie, corsetry and bridal wear. These skills later secured her positions at Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan and Pleasure State.
Branching out from her initial success with bespoke services, and a ready-to-wear lingerie collection, 2012 marked the launch of Nichole de Carle Marine's debut luxury capsule swim range Serpentine, which was designed in recognition of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

KS Paris

Stemming from Lolita brand Kimy’s Sweeties, KS Paris is a very recent French lingerie brand strongly influenced by the sensuality and eroticism characteristic of Japanese mangas. These naughty and sensual pieces, trimmed with ribbons and lace, make up a fine corsetry and night lingerie line. Noble materials such as silk and Calais “leavers” lace are associated with dotted Swiss tulle and imitation leather, resulting in a successful mix of modernity and tradition, much like Japanese culture.
